china overseas group2018 "energy conservation and emission reduction" program series activities have been carried out one after another. on the occasion of world environment day, the , group will 6month 14 held a lecture on "indoor environmental testing and management" as the subject, invited to the department of building services engineering, hong kong polytechnic university associate professor dr. mei guowei came to give lectures on relevant content and shared some "tips" for testing and handling problems. the seminar attracted the participation of more than 50 colleagues from various business lines of the group.
dr. mei explained that whether the environment will cause harm to the body depends on the length of time spent in it; in addition, in the outdoor environment, the concentration of pollutants may not be high, and in the indoor environment, if the air is not circulating, or have a greater impact on physical health. he emphasized that everyone spends most of the day in an indoor place such as an office or home. therefore, everyone should not neglect the management of the indoor environment.
dr. mei continued to provide everyone with "tips", saying that you can choose a qualified testing instrument to measure the indoor environment; and choose an air purifier based on the principle of "activated carbon", which is more effective and safer than other types of purifiers; it is also reminded everyone to be cautious in using chemicals such as air fresheners and aromatherapy. chemicals are more likely to cause harm to the body due to fragrance or cover up environmental problems.
during the lecture, all the colleagues present were very interested in dr. mei’s explanation. everyone also actively asked questions and exchanged ideas with dr. mei. they benefited a lot from the lecture.
this seminar was awarded to the hong kong independent, non-profit-making environmental protection organization-world green organization (wgo) support. the organization brings together top environmental experts and is committed to building partnerships with governments, commercial organizations and citizens to jointly develop green communities.
